These little lovelies are blooming as we speak right outside my front door. The richness of spring is upon me (depite the hail assaulting my newly-planted garden this week).
What about this little number, eh? Trachelium, pincushion protea, berzelia, alstromeria (one flower you won’t see around here often, so get your fill…), & kangaroo paw.
I love stock. I think it gets a bad rap. I think it has a coarse, plebeian name, but smells lovely and has spectacular texture. Its blooms are also a charming substitute for rose petals.
Apparently this is what happens when you actually let roses open. Gorgeous – who knew?! (Peterkort Alexandra roses and narcissus) P.S. Frank Adams is now carrying David Austin (true) garden roses. I couldn’t be more stoked!
